about M

Currently I work at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) as researcher in standard characterisation of concentrating photovoltaics (CPV) and novel photovoltaic (PV) devices.

In 2011 I got my PhD in Physics at the Imperial College London (UK), which I started in 2007 as part time student. In the meanwhile, I was working as Contract Agent of the European Commission at the Join Research Centre (Ispra, VA, Italy).

Before starting my research activity in standard characterization of new generation PV devices, I got a Master in Engineering and Plasma Physics (MEng) at the University of Padua (Italy), with a thesis on the neutral beam injector of ITER and a Master of Science (MSc) in Theoretical Physics at the University of Milan (Italy), with a thesis on nonlinear dynamics of non-neutral plasmas.

I currently also work with Alphatest as a teacher of physics, maths and formal logic in summer schools in Brescia and Novara (Italy).

In the past, I had fruitful work experiences at PricewaterhouseCoopers, as junior analyst, and STMicroelectronics, as process engineer, and, while at university, a very pleasant time at the National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan.

I love classical music, opera and fine arts in general.

I love running, skiing and playing beach volleyball.

I love Italy, but unfortunately you may find Italians there.
